 Indoor 2 RAF Digby 14/15 April 07

This was a cracking weekend weather wise; not much wind and bright sunlight. This meant that any drift in the hanger would be minimal if none at all for the duration tasks and lots of natural light kept everybody in high spirits.

The down side to the weekend was the desperate lack of entrants; only one serving member turned out, but flew duration tasks only and on Sunday, after BMFA commitments on Saturday, Ian Pallister attended to boost the numbers with a scale model. As this was the RAFMAA Scale Champs prior to the BMFA National Scale Champs the following Sunday at Nottingham Uni, it was disappointing to see only three Honouree members trying to keep the flag flying. As a result; no scale competition flying was attempted and all who attended trim flew their models for the BMFA Nats. Bottom line is that two trophies were not competed for due to lack of support; what can I say…., what can I do?

Following are some photos of the models and competitors that might have been?

Final Duration score tables and positions follow.  I hope that enthusiasm for indoor flying is better for next season; how long can it exist with no interest?
